Our adventuring collective had decided to compose “memoirs” - apparently because biologicals memory retrieval systems fail over time. What a mis-gearing of gears that must be for them! Some of my fondest memories are 125.6398392571 aeons ago working on my cog in Mechanus. Sigh. Rightful order times those were.
So, to begin at the beginning. off to the Abyss we perambulated. I cognitated that this would be a money-enhancing venture for my faction as I could create a way to dispose of the Foundries detritus-products while earning more abstract-metallurgic-exchange-tokens. Due to a massive, and I mean that in the most-large possible sense, massive lack of advanced knowledge about the “Abyss” I, -A, realized my plans would come to nought-point-nought.
The order of the Abyss would, in physical evidence, rotate around the emotion of “Hate”. In our encounters in that place there was only one denizen who displayed even a remote understanding of any other emotion; a physically incorrectly designed “Vrock” by the moniker of Slippery Jack. I believe his unusual physical design must have resulted in his unusual mental design as he seemed to be the only denizen, as I wrote earlier, who showed any other emotion than “Hate”. Unfortunately for my business designs, one individual entity on an infinite plane of “Hate” is not a very good statistic for a successful resolution of strategies.
It is gear-slipping for me to write about our trip. Our driver was shockingly slaughtered, and I believe that is the correct term as I have observed abattoirs in Sigil, while we tried to escape the Abyss. Bahamut has taught me that there is Good everywhere but I observed an almost exponentially reduced amount of that esteemed ideal in the Abyss.
I'm not entirely clear on why the adventuring collective desires to remember this event. If I,-A, had control over my memory retrievel system, which I, -A, do not as it is an automatic function, I,-A, would delete this memory as the sense of betrayal of the expectations-of-safety of our driver causes me a great deal of pain and will for the rest of the potentially eternal time I exist.
I believe I have discovered an insight as to why biologicals ability-to-function-properly fails over time - Possibly it is because of the accumulated pain of experiences…But yet some of our adventuring collective seem not to actually internalize these memories so possibly that is why they are writing them down…But why would the do this if the pain leads to the dissolution of their form…This is all exceptionally confusing.
I believe a relaxation-period at the Foundry is in order. There is nothing like working a full dark-cycle on the assembly line to drive mental gear-looping back into a straight-line track.
