(Game Date: December 13th, 2015)

Interrogating the prisoner, the Planeswalkers discovered that Yarrick Zan (the mindflayer assassin) had enlisted the aid of a group of slaughterhouse workers who had been students and minions of Llamar Fenwick. Offering them the promise of revenge against their mentor's killer, the assassin was using them to do his dirty work and pin down his prey. Unfortunately, following the interrogation the prisoner managed to smooth talk his way out of his bonds for just long enough to steal a weapon and teleport away using the same techniques as their former master.

As the Planeswalkers regrouped and considered their best course of action, they found themselves constantly harried, poisoned, and threatened by mind-controlled puppets created through Yarrick Zan's innate ability to implant mental suggestions.

Finally, in a bid to get the assassin off their backs, they arranged a meeting with him in a Lower Ward Tavern, offering to outbid his employers and pay him to leave them alone. Yarrick attended the meeting, but only to put his minions in position, at which point they attacked.

After a battle that quickly escalated into a tavern brawl, the Planeswalkers put down Yarrick Zan and all the remaining slaughterhouse workers, putting an end to the assassin's plot.
