(Game Date: March 13th, 2016)
Upon returning to the Sylvan Wayfarer, Helga was immediately approached by a group of Githzerai warriors. Referring to her as “Chainbreaker”, they said they had followed tales of her heroic liberation of slaves and her battles against slavers, and wished to beg for her aid.
A fellow warrior in their band, they explained, had been kidnapped by an illithid, their hated racial enemy, and was being kept in the Weary Spirit Infirmary, a notoriously squalid “hospital” in Sigil's Hive Ward. Not being one to turn away a person in need, Helga agreed to assist the Githzerai and enlisted the aid of the rest of the Planeswalkers as well.
After handing over their evidence and selling their loot to Leggis and Gwydion, the Planeswalkers prepared a plan to assault the Weary Spirit, and deal with the powerful fiend that was reputed to guard the place.
After successfully sneaking into the building and defeating the guards, including a hideous Hezrou, they stormed the upper floors only to discover an unexpected occupant: Grant Kendrall, a powerful wizard they had encountered in the past.
After talking things out, Kendrall told the Planeswalkers that he was pursuing his magical research with the assistance of the Bleak Cabal, one of Sigil's factions, and they had pointed him in the direction of Rednir Tetch, Director of the Weary Spirit. Although Kendrall realized Tetch was a disreputable and immoral person, he rationalized that he could cooperate with him in the short term while working to make him obsolete in the long term by developing magical healing devices for the poor of the Hive.
After the Planeswalkers explained their reasons for attacking the facility, Kendrall agreed that Tetch and his Infirmary had gone too far, and using his magic, assisted in detaining him. But Kendrall's cooperation was conditional, and he would only go along if Tetch would be turned over to the authorities and given a proper trial.
