A young boy, and indentured servant working for a cruel dwarf master in Rigus, Toby was freed from servitude by Helga following a deal with the dwarf to expose the bartender Sloan as an accomplice to Calaban and his slaver operation.

While scared and uncertain of his new company at first, Toby has since grown fascinated with the life of adventure the party leads, eagerly lapping up tales of their past exploits and training with Helga in the arts of the battle.

Having been gifted with some leather armor, a horned helmet, a scimitar, and a short-spear by the PCs, Toby has learned enough to join them in their adventures, and serves as Helga's squire. While only a novice fighter now, he's an eager student and has a thirst for adventure.(The story so far)

Toby got closure on his time as a slave by defeating Finnegan in a fair fight (22) He and the party also rescued his parents from slavery in Rigus (23).

Melinda and Karloff McGuire are currently working at the Army in Ysgard, Karloff as a soldier and Melinda as a cook. Previously, they were slaves in Rigus.

Melinda was a scullery maid in Captain Wraithbone's home. The Bishop and Skippy (with the help of Helga) helped Melinda to escape.

Karloff was a soldier-slave living in the prison barracks run by the Coiled Chain Brotherhood. He was in the Fighting 53rd Suicide Canary regiment. Like other soldier slaves, they were used for dangerous jobs the higher-ups didn't want to waste actual troops on(23).
