The Planar Trade Consortium
The Planar Trade Consortium, often referred to by its acronym the PTC, is the multiverse's largest and most influential trade and commerce regulatory body. They oversee all of the means of transporting goods including portals, shipping routes and caravan companies. Membership in the organization is virtually mandatory for anyone but the smallest of street peddlers. The PTC holds a virtual monopoly on the trade of most every product of value.
It is run by Estevan, an Ogre Mage, who never seems to leave his office. Some stories say Estevan is personally arranging shipments to Blood War generals on both sides of the war. Some of the rumors say he's actually getting paid by Celestials to do it.
Estevan and Zadara apparently have a rivalry, both being bigwigs with jink in town. Neither one will deign to visit the other, but they keep sending each other veiled barbs and insults. The latest one was a dinner invitation from Estevan to Zadara…to Chirper's, the priciest restaurant in the Market Ward, with the offer to split the bill. A little in-joke with the two, maybe. (31)
Lady Boyle, a financial backer of the Black Lotus, used the PTC to ship important materials and supplies to them in the gate-town of Torch. (13)
Tyvold Lestermain, Quartermaster for the Army in Ysgard, used to managed the books for the PTC. He is still on good terms with them after his resignation, and convinced Helga to buy weapons through them for the Army, saying that he could secure her a discount based on his connections with the PTC.
